Used for searing, chilling, or just salting, these Himalayan Salt Plates have burst onto the market and into higher end restaurants over the last few months. Even better, this type product was shown on a recent episode of “Iron Chef.”
Not only used as a beautiful way to display your treats, you can simply drag your food across the plate to add a little extra salt to the bite. It is perfect for serving fruits such as watermelon. You can also heat the salt plate in the oven to do a quick sear on your favorite fish.
A word of caution, however. These beauties come at a steep price starting at around $16.95 and go up from there.
